We're building an intentional brand around the things we love from a place of empathy and appreciation for the people who believe in it.
We're entirely self-funded: all event costs, including artist compensation, relies on revenue from ticket sales and investment from our personal savings.
Through our commitment to partnering with local businesses, and booking up-and-coming artists from within our local talent pool, it is our ongoing mission to create more opportunities for local contribution
to San Diego's vibrant music and arts culture.
What does Big Wet actually mean?
We began humbly
as "The Big Wet Beach Party" surrounded by 40
of our friends and an easy-up tent on the shore of Mission Bay. (Shoutout to the Weterans)
"Can we make this bigger and wetter next year?" was the general sentiment, and so we began writing the story of what Big Wet could would become.
2023: The IN Gallery
Our first ticketed event + debut of The Jellyfish Forest (pictured).
Lineup: Rogue, Suaro, Mani, Iris Exit, Kaitlin, Siggy Freud
We managed to secure brand partnerships with a number of local brands who were inspired by our mission rooted in love, our already-strong sense of community, and vision for growth in the future. We are forever grateful to these generous reps for their early investment and excitement for what we hoped to create that truly got us (and our open bar) off the ground.
Brand Partnerships: Onda, TIFS, Locals Only Vodka, Soonish, JuneShine, Liquid Death
2024: A Random Parking Lot with a Second Story Viewing Deck
(On behalf of The Gold Leaf Project)
Lineup | Big Wet Stage: Dank Stylez, Kaitlin, Rogue, Iris Exit, Siggy Freud, Suaro
Lineup | Jellyfish Forest Stage: Erica Shock, Mellowdeck, Bobby Splash, Dank Stylez, Rogue, Bachelor Party
It was pretty charming though. We debuted a number of curated experiences, two new large-scale interactive installations, Big Wet merch, custom giveaways, silent disco, a branded activation with Tushy, an LED screen displaying custom artist visuals, and a state of the art custom sound system built by local sound engineer, Chris Regalado.
Brand partnerships: Onda, JuneShine, Surfwater, Best Day Brewing, Miixt, Kove, Easy Rider, Quantum Sails, and Tushy.
